JACK A. DRAPER II
Mr Draper earned his J.D. Degree from  University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1974.  He first practiced as an international lawyer in several capacities, including as an Associate of Baker& McKenzie in Hong Kong and as Counsel to the Asian Development Bank in Manila. Mr. Draper joined the law department of Atlantic Richfield Company in 1979 and worked on international oil and gas law matters until 1982, when he shifted to domestic oil and  gas, environmental and employment law practice as well as civil litigation practice.

LOJAD was created in 1989 by Mr. Draper and has been providing quality legal services to California businesses and individuals from offices in Bakersfield and Los Angeles since 1989.  Mr. Draper created the firm because he saw the need for a small firm which could provide a one stop resource providing energy, environmental and employment litigation and counseling services in the Central and Southern California area.  Hence our mission is to offer comprehensive and quality legal services in the environmental, energy and employment fields, under one roof, in order to provide the quickest and most cost effective legal service to our clients.Mr. Draper believed that in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues.  Since 1989, he has represented numerous high-profile clients in oil and gas, environmental and employment matters, both in transactional matters as well as litigation matters in State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Draper is also an experienced and well known civil case mediator and arbitrator, whose ADR and ODR services are described at our affiliated website, www.aadrol.com. Mr. Draper's patent pending, on line, synchronous audio visual mediation practice was featured in a front page article in the Los Angeles Daily Journal on July 10, 2008. Mr. Draper is active in a number of professional organizations including the Kern, Los Angeles and Ventura County Bar Associations, Southern California Mediation Association.
